As a female entrepreneur in the sexual wellness space, Jacqui has made it her mission to create pheromone perfumes that empower women, evoking their most confident selves, and celebrating inclusivity. Under her direction, Eye of Love became the first pheromone perfume company to introduce a gender-fluid pheromone perfume – Matchmaker ‘Attract Them’, positioning Eye of Love as an innovative leader in the market at a time when gender-inclusive terminology is becoming common place among brands and products in the sexual health and wellness spaces.
As an entrepreneur, certified love coach and a relationship expert, over the past decade the mom-of-two managed to lead Eye Of Love towards constant expansion, launching several perfume collections that are now being sold in over 20 countries.

We had the chance to speak with Jacqui about her mission as an entrepreneur in the sexual wellness space, learn more about pheromone perfumes, and why it was important for Eye of Love to be gender-inclusive in their product range.

Can you first tell us where your career began, and when you started working at Eye of Love?
It began with my fascination with relationships, which all started when I received my education at Cal State Northridge. I studied Family and Consumer Sciences and really gained an understanding of human behavior and relationships, along with consumer needs. When I graduated, I helped my father Alberto take Eye of Love to the next level and boost its B2C presence.
My passion in helping people build relationships is also evident in my work as a certified Love Coach and Relationship expert. This certification enhanced my knowledge and understanding of personal connections, allowing me to help others with their relationships and confidence. Eye of Love products help people do that too, so I naturally gravitated towards the company’s mission.
For the uninitiated, what are pheromone perfumes, how do they differ from other types of perfumes, and how can they enhance our lives?
Pheromones are chemical signals that we subconsciously emit to communicate and connect with others. They can act as a foundation for attraction and better social interactions. Other perfumes combine different scents to trigger a reaction from others, but pheromones help us connect to others in a primal way, naturally making the wearer more alluring.
Traditional fragrances might make you smell good, but they don’t have that magnetic effect that a pheromone-based formula will – the “love potion effect” courtesy of nature. We even have scentless products that can be layered with your own fragrance or worn on their own, and reviewers swear by the effects!
As a certified Love Coach and relationship expert, what expertise have you managed to bring to Eye of Love from your background? How does it make an impact in the business side of things?
My background and understanding of human psychology helps me understand the driving force that motivates people seek connections. I learn from their stories firsthand which gives me an insider advantage. The tools I use from the coaching and relationship expert side of things to empower people directly translate into my ability to make better, more authentic products that speak directly to the consumer and their deepest desires.

Your passion is to see more people be fulfilled through meaningful connections. How does your work at Eye of Love work toward this mission and why is it important to you personally?
Our mission is to help people improve their quality of life and spread love, whether it’s platonic or romantic. People are always yearning for in-person connections in a world that’s increasingly experienced behind a screen, and Eye of Love opens the doors for those interactions to happen in real time. Our products enhance confidence and the ability to build deeper bonds, which leads to more healthier relationships and reduces isolation. I think that can have a positive ripple effect not just on the people that use our pheromone fragrances but for society as a whole.
Eye of Love recognized that many people struggle with self-esteem and the ability to form more meaningful connections, which traditional perfumes weren’t addressing. We wanted to fill that gap in the market by combining evocative scents with the science of pheromones and the power they have on human behavior. Blending captivating and cruelty-free botanical blends with pheromone technology, we stand in a class of our own by offering a more holistic approach to improving confidence and social connections.
One of the coolest aspects of Eye Of Love is the way the company is gender inclusive. Can you tell us more about why this was important to the brand, and how it differentiates you from others in the market?
Our goal is always to help people overcome challenges and achieve better relationships, and you can’t define people by putting them in a box. It can be restrictive, and inclusivity is a core value at Eye of Love. In the past, pheromone perfumes were typically only designed for men and for women, but with our Attract Them and Matchmaker LGBTQ+ collections, we wanted to speak to everyone on the LGBTQ+ spectrum as well as non-binary or gender-fluid people.

Can you tell us about the gender fluid pheromone perfume and the response from your customers so far?
When we started our collaboration with Patti Stanger, we wanted to develop a pheromone perfume collection that would cater to every gender identity. We saw a gap in the pheromone perfume content in the sense that there weren’t perfumes that attracted different genders; everything was very binary. We’ve gotten great customer feedback on our Attract Them perfume. Many individuals don’t just wear them for dating, but use them for socializing as well.
What message do you think it sends to the relationship industry to be a brand that is more gender inclusive rather than heteronormative?
I think it’s important to be pioneers in this area and set a new standard, and I hope others in the industry do the same. Beyond Attract Them, we have the Matchmaker Black Diamond LGBTQ collection, which offers luxurious pheromone scents beyond the heteronormative boundary. We don’t want to leave anyone out of the conversation, and relationships come in all forms, so it was important to us to be a brand for everybody and ensure that all different voices are heard and given products that they can connect with.

With so much bleak shit happening in the world right now, we could all do with more self love and beautiful connections. What advice do you have to people who might be feeling the need for this right now?
Don’t be afraid to stop scrolling and go offline. Other people are feeling the same right now and there’s so much power in connecting with others about the positive things that do exist, but also showing compassion and empathy for each other in the struggles we’re going through. When you’re focusing on creating better relationships with others and sending loving energy out there, don’t forget to reflect that back on yourself and appreciate how amazing you are. By adding pheromones into the mix, you’ll be able to enhance those experiences and bonds, connecting on a whole new level like never before. It could shift your whole perspective.
What do you hope customers who discover Eye of Love for the first time will feel after using the product and learning more about the message behind the brand?
I hope that people feel empowered to go after whatever they want in life, whether it’s working up the courage to talk to their crush, landing a promotion at work, putting a spark back in their relationship or just creating more memorable moments. I hope that customers connect to Eye of Love’s message that we all need a little confidence boost at times and deserve to feel great in our own skin. There’s no shame in asking for some outside help with that, which pheromone fragrances can provide for some inspiring results.
