“Thrive” comes off the heels of their popular bilingual single “Don’t Need a Reason” released on Sept. 16th, 2022 during Hispanic Heritage Month. The song encapsulates the power and celebration of dance – an essential part of the Hispanic culture. The vibrant song inspires to lift you up and raise your spirits, bringing people together.

Scroll down to see what the sisters shared with us about making music, having millions of social media followers, and how their Latina heritage is an integral part of their lyrics and music videos.

OK first things first – who is the favorite sister in the family?!

Amalia: If you were to ask each of us, we would probably say ourselves, but the truth is, it depends on the day. LOL just kidding, no favorites in this family!

How long have you all been performing/writing/singing together?

Gabriella: We have been performing together since I was just 2 years old! Our first ever performance as a trio was at a dance competition, and from that moment on, we’ve loved being on stage together. We officially formed Triple Charm in 2019, which was when we first started writing music and singing together!

Can you tell us about your new single “No Problema” and what it’s all about?

Raena: “No Problema” is our second bilingual single. It is about finding your own paradise, which we define as a place where you can leave your worries behind. When we wrote this song, we wanted the listener to be able to escape into their own fantasy world, where life is always a party. We experimented with new sounds throughout the track, but of course we had to keep the same danceable beat we love about Latin music!

What is your creative process like? Can you walk us through how a track is put together, and how you come up with ideas for music videos?

Amalia: Usually, we start with 2 different tracks and work off of the one we gravitate towards most. Sometimes we like both, so we’ll create a fusion of the two. As we are writing a song, we start to envision what we want for the music video. By the time we’re done writing all three of us have an idea for the music video, and crazy enough, we’re usually on the exact same page!

You’ve been dubbed as the female version of 90’s family pop outfit Hanson, and been compared to the likes of Blackpink! But how would you describe yourselves and how you are different from the rest?

Gabriella: One thing that really sets us apart is that we are sisters. Like Hanson and other family bands, there is a chemistry that you just can’t recreate. Dance is a major part of our lives, so we incorporate it into everything we do. Like K-pop groups, dancing is a huge factor in all our performances. We have also built our audience through social media, which is unlike most traditional music groups. The fact that we are creators, siblings, musicians and dancers, makes us unique!

With millions of followers and subscribers across YouTube, Instagram and TikTok, how do you deal with so much attention and scrutiny that comes with social media fame?

Amalia: We are so lucky to have built such a big platform that reaches millions of people on a daily basis. With that of course comes some criticism, but the positivity and love we receive far outweighs any negativity. We choose to put our focus and attention towards the good, and we have the most amazing fans who make it so easy for us to do that!

Who are your musical and creative influences as a group, and individually?

Raena: We like to take inspiration from many artists and genres. I think there is something you can learn from everyone! K-pop groups are a major inspiration for us, like BlackPink and XG. P!nk is also someone I am super inspired by!

In your spare time you are passionate about mental health awareness, ocean conservation, and empowering young girls. Can you talk more about these causes and why they are important to each of you?

Raena: Our goal since we first started Triple Charm has always been to spread positivity. Because we have such a large audience that continues to grow, it’s important for us to use our voice for good and to inspire positive change. As young people in this digital age, mental health is so important. With our platform we aim to create a safe space for people to come to and we like to use our music and content to bring awareness to causes we support.

We released our single “Rally Up” on Women’s Equality Day. We’ve grown up with so many amazing female role-models in our life, and we hope to empower the next generation of women!

Where do you see yourselves in 5 and 10 years?

Gabriella: Hopefully in the next 5 years we can go on a world tour! Traveling and performing are two of our favorite things to do, along with getting to meet our fans from all around the globe. Going on a world tour would be a dream come true. Plus, new music will always be in the works. In the next 10 years we would love to get into traditional media, have our own movie or TV show!

If you could collaborate with any artist in the future who would it be?

Gabriella: We would love to collaborate with Meghan Trainor! She is a big inspiration and started writing and producing music at a young age like us. We love her sound and we think there is so much we could learn from her!

Watching your videos we can’t help but be inspired by your sisterly bond! What do you want readers to love most about your music and social media presence? What do you hope your content will make them feel?

Amalia: I hope that readers get to feel how passionate we are about music, performing and creating content, and not only that but getting to do it together. Being able to go on this journey as sisters has been the most rewarding and fulfilling thing of our lives! We hope that our content can be a way for people to smile, laugh, or find joy for even a few seconds of their day.
