No Shame In Change – Celebrities Who Admit Getting Plastic Surgery

Plastic surgery has taken the world of beauty by a storm. No wonder, the haven of stunning looks – Hollywood – caught up with the trend long ago. But it’s not just the celebrities, many people today choose to undergo different cosmetic procedures. And it’s simply because everyone can decide for themselves what works best for their bodies and makes them happy. As long as it’s healthy, publicly shaming someone for their choices isn’t justified.

Hiding something that makes you more comfortable in your own skin seems counterintuitive. On that note, admitting that one had had plastic surgery is completely okay. Many celebs do so and state it proudly so that the stigma associated with getting plastic surgeries can get a break. It’s certainly not true that getting cosmetic surgery is nothing short of a “luxury item.” The reasons for getting it can be both aesthetic and health. Consider Jennifer Anniston. She had her nose fixed for a deviated septum, which can cause breathing difficulties.

So, getting plastic surgery is not a big deal provided you don’t overdo it. Now, let’s take a look at the celebrities who have had surgeries and speak openly in favour of it.

Cardi B

It’s hard to ignore the powerful presence of Cardi B – easily one of the most popular rappers around today. She quite openly defended her decision on Instagram to get a liposuction and breast augmentation after someone suggested that she should work out for it. Citing reasons for her choice, she said, “I don’t have time to work out and I wanted specific things that I know that no matter how much I work out ― is not get fixed.”

Breast augmentation is actually the most popular cosmetic surgery, and Turkey offers affordable boob jobs for those looking. Whether to correct asymmetry or improve self-image, this surgery can be performed.

Ariel Winter

‘Modern Family’s’ Alex got a breast reduction surgery at the age of seventeen to ease her back pain. In her 2015 interview with Glamour, she said that it was better if she was the one who told her surgery story, lest a million versions of it appear. Further, she maintained that it was a decision that she is quite happy with as it contributes towards her better health.

Women with bigger breasts can experience many aches and pains in their neck, back and shoulders, which can be very discomforting. Choosing surgery can help with that.

Tyra Banks

Barrier-breaking supermodel Tyra Banks in her book “Perfect is Boring” admitted to having a nose job, early in her career. She said, “I had bones in my nose that were growing and itching.” And although she said she could breathe fine, she had cosmetic surgery.

Britney Spears

Pop icon Britney Spears is a household name known by millions. And guess what? She also has had a taste of plastic surgery.

Back in 2014, in the January issue of InStyle, the singer admitted to having lip injections. If you think about it, you’ll realize how the trend has progressed since. There has been a massive boom in its application. Recently, Kylie Jenner’s admission to lip fillers took the spotlight, but countless names have opted for this procedure.

Kaley Cuoco

While Penny from ‘The Big Bang Theory’ is no doubt a stunner, she too has dabbled with plastic surgery here and there. In an interview with Women Health Magazine, Cuoco talked about the procedures she’d gotten: rhinoplasty, breast augmentation, and neck fillers.

There were no regrets on her part. In fact, she felt that it was the best thing she ever did. As long as it makes you feel confident, Kaley believes that it’s amazing.

Iggy Azalea

While initially, the Australia rapper was fearful of a backlash on her decision to get plastic surgery, she eventually did open up. It was her love for her breast augmentation surgery that compelled her to talk about it.

In 2015, Iggy went on to talk about her nose job in the magazine Seventeen. She said, “I don’t think you should be ashamed if you made a change to yourself, which is why I’ve spoken about the changes I’ve made, like with my breasts.” She doesn’t feel like denying it, so shouldn’t anyone else.

Kelly Rowland

Singer Kelly Rowland has also gotten breast surgery, but her story is quite unique. In an interview with Shape magazine, she revealed that since the age of eighteen she wanted to have implants, but was told to think more about it by her and Beyoncé’s mother.

She took the advice and waited ten years to finally get the surgery when she felt sure of her decision.

Conclusion

At the end of the day, it’s your body, and you are the best one to decide what can eventually make you happy with the way you look and feel about yourself. It’s not just you even the glowing celebrities have gone through this.
